Description

The Asian Public Speaking Championships (APSC) is one of the leading international public speaking competitions for students across the Asia-Pacific region. Students compete online alongside participants from countries including New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The competition attracts over 100 students annually and provides an opportunity to benchmark communication skills on an international stage.

Competitors participate in three speaking disciplines:

• Persuasive Speaking – presenting a prepared speech designed to inform, influence, or inspire an audience
• Impromptu Speaking – responding to a topic with limited preparation time
• Interpretive Reading – bringing a written text to life through expressive and engaging delivery

Students receive detailed feedback from international adjudicators, a performance assessment report, and the opportunity to develop confidence, critical thinking, audience awareness, and advanced communication skills in a supportive competitive environment.

This event is ideal for students who enjoy public speaking, debating, drama, leadership, or communication and are looking for a challenging international experience that will help them grow as confident and articulate communicators.
