Emma has been performing on stage since she was three years old. It’s rare to find someone so talented in performance and so motivated to teach the next generations of Speech and Drama students. We are feeling extremely lucky to have Emma’s skills with us for a year. Emma has completed her Speech and Drama graded exams in Speech NZ and her Trinity College of London Associate Diploma of Speech and Drama with Distinction. The highlights of Emma’s performance work were always competitions.
Emma is finishing her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Drama at the University of Auckland. She also studied drama for a semester in the America at the University of Virginia. Emma has taught Speech and Drama for some years privately and is working towards gaining her Speech New Zealand Licentiate of Teaching Speech and Drama.
Emma is passionate about giving her students the freedom and confidence to communicate and perform. Her prime focus at Kristin School will be to work with our middle school students and share her performing and directing skills with our students competing at competitions. She has found the skills learned from Speech and Drama invaluable for university presentations, job interviews and speaking confidence.
We are so excited to have her with us and learn about performance from her over the year. Welcome Emma!
